Worthing Standard Distance Qualifier

Here I am 😞
Not happy. A particularly tough swim with south westerly Force 6 blowing. Very windy race! Sea swim was very choppy as I have no experience with sea swim so I have lost a lot time!
bike @loves_scott_bikes amazing, bit hilly and nice rain cool me down. Run great but very windy on the way back. It was an amazing experience and I loved every minute..
I have learnt a lot in this race and know what I have to improve. I spent 1 year of my life doing triathlons and only started to swim properly 3 months ago. But I love triathlons and my motivation now are different from year ago.
So I came 14th of 23rd in my Age Group

Swim 1.5km 32:10
T1 1:19
Bike 41km 1:18:31(1926ft elev)
T2 1:05
Run 10km 47:18
for now I'll be waiting if the roll down place will be offered to me!
I will fight till I'll get where I want to be

Those photos don't really do the sea justice on how it really was 😂

Roadford Sprint Distance Triathlon 2016

Success in triathlon means pacing yourself correctly throughout. And the key element in any triathlon is endurance. I have spent some time doing sprint distance to improve my speed for Standard Distance.

But simply, I don't spend all my time doing sprint distances if I want to improve my long - distance running. I am keeping the training interesting. So I stood into Sprint Roadford Distance Triathlon on 22nd May 2016 and completed in 1:34:31

Race Number: 131

Gun Time 1:34:31      Category Position: 3rd

  • Open water swim 750m   00:18:51
  • T1                                       00:01:38
  • Cycle 20km                       00:42:13
  • T2                                      00:01:10
  • Fell Run 5km                     00:30:37

Cubert 5 mile run 2016

The run session of a triathlon is the toughest of all the disciplines and soon reveals whetever our preparation has paid off.

I have joined the Launceston Road Runners club because athletic  clubs offer coaching and camaraderie and can help reach our goals. The members are very friendly and I love my Tuesdays races or long runs and Thursdays intervals sessions.

I remember how much I have enjoyed my first race with club in Cubert 5 miles race.

I came 255 of 716 in 00:38:04  AVG PACE 7:36/mi

RNLI Castle to Castle 1 mile Sea Swim 2016

I was happy to swim RNLI Castle to castle 1 mile Sea CHOPPY water race "charity swim" today to support these people⬇️⬇️
The RNLI is the charity that saves at sea, Their provide, on call, a 24 - hour lifeboat search and rescue service around the UK and Ireland, and seasonal lifeguard service. With their lifeboats, lifeguards, safety advice and flood rescue, they are comitted to saving lives.
"Do things for others-Action for happiness"

I came 146th of 221 in 44:39 mins

I started swimming only year ago so from there,

My swim has improved nicely and I feel pretty comfortable with increasingly longer swims.  Still, I feel my push is weak, but don't know how to assess it.

Right now, I can swim comfortably and long at 2:05-2:08 per 100 meters, with a T-pace of 1:57, but one 25m length kicking with a kickboard busts my azz and takes about 55 seconds (with a healthy push off the wall).

Shropshire Qualifier Standard Distance Triathlon 2016

so here I am
I have complete Shropshire in a time within 116% of the winner so I am halfway through to my qualification for the GB Age Group Team.

  • swim 00:31:28
  • T1      00:01:14
  • cycle 01:14:27
  • T2     00:01:02
  • run    00:50:29

OVERALL      02:38:50               CAT POSITION   8

but I want to qualify automatically that I have to place to the first 4 eligible athletes in my age group.
Any athlete finishing within 120% of the winner of their age-group will only be offered a place at the Team Manager’s discretion.

I am 116.82% and now there is two more races that I can try to place in first 4 and get automatic qualification awarded or wait when those two qualifier races (witch are Liverpool and Worthing) will get results then there is Rolldown percentages it means 120% of the winner of their age-group may still be able to qualify with this a rolldown place.
Anyway I dont like waiting and even if I am now halfway through my qualification that I really want the "Q" next to my name and race in 2017 Kitzbuhel ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championships!
So I have made my decision. Instead of waiting for *Rolldown" I will try to place in first 4 athletes in Liverpool on 14.8 or Worthing on 28.8! I need to get faster 5-10 minutes in each discipline. It means 1500m swim under 26 minutes, 40km bike under 1hr 10 minutes and 10 km run under 40 minutes in 2 months from now.
As a time runs from start to finish, with no breaks in-between and I am aiming to do it in 1 hr 25mins maybe a bit under .
Let the game begin :) ✌🏼🏊🏼🚵🏼🏃🏼

The Ben Nevis BraveHeart Triathlon

“My goggles fogged up and my wetsuit seemed intent on drowning me.”

As I stepped into the Ben Nevis Brave Heart Triathlon on Saturday the 3rd of October to compete in my Triathlon Charity Challenge.
It was my last Triathlon in 2015 race season and I wasnt trained properly for it due to my leg injury. So I decided night before the race to compete in half Triathlon.

All went well until I missed the turn back point when cycled. So I decided to finish full Tritahlon as I said myself that I have nothing to loose and will be great challenge to my Charity donation.
So I swam 900m in 25min 41 sec
Cycle 90km in 2hr 54mins
Ran Ben Nevis summit 20,9km in 4hrs 16 mins

As I was completely unprepared for full Triathlon as distance was same as half of Ironman distance. It wasn’t until 8 hours and 2 minutes later that I realized my thought probably should have been: “I hope I finish”.
As I finally, finally crossed the finish line, I found myself thankful that I finished at all, indebted to my family and the Marshalls who willed me on and moved by the amazing show of support from my fellow triathletes.

So I have completed my Charity Triathlons Challenge 2015.

I have competed in 12 Triathlons, Snowdon Race to raise money for the Education For The Children.
